INSTALLATION

Remove poles from carriage and place on ground.
Set 4x external rope poles to height of sail track and position back down on ground.
Place tailgate poles onto tailgate and set poles approximately 300mm higher than the sail track height.
Slide awning into sail track, ensuring canvas gutter is on the top side of awning roof.
Loosely secure straps around hinges at front of hard lid.
Install tailgate poles into eyelets on roof of canvas and extend roof poles into carriage bracket until canvas is taut. Secure straps from canvas roof to any bracket/hole on tailgate edge.
Install first pole on passenger side of vehicle by locating pin into carriage and extend until canvas is taut. Apply tie down rope by securing at approximately 2 o'clock to front of vehicle.
Install the next pole (pole closest to driver side of vehicle) following the same process, secure rope at approximately 10 o’clock to front of vehicle.
Install 2 remaining poles by clipping to tailgate poles and extending until canvas is taut. Secure ropes to ground.
Tensions straps at hinges and clip bridging strap under lid and tension.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to use:

Thoroughly wet your new canvas with a domestic hose and let it dry fully in the sun. This allows the canvas to be conditioned and fully settle after packing and transport. Failure to do so may cause leakage in initial exposure to rain.

The canvas must be completely dry and clean prior to storage.

To ensure maximum life:

Do not expose to petrol, oil or solvents.
Clean with cold water and a soft dry brush; never scrub the fabric.
Do not use strong soaps, detergents, petrol, oil or bleach like pool chlorine.
Remove any mildew as it appears, brush off softly, then treat with diluted chlorine bleach (typically 1 part white king bleach to 4 parts water). Rinse and dry completely.
Immediately remove deposits of organic matter such as soil, grass, leaves, bird droppings, exhaust, pollutants etc
Always store, pack and roll up only when clean and dry.
Occasional rejuvenation of your canvas using Reproof® by Defab is recommended. Reproof® is a water base canvas treatment to keep your fabrics protected.

Is the awning simple to install and pack away?

Yes, the No Wukka awning is designed to be practical and easy to install. Simply screw the aluminium carriage to the rear under side of the lid, slide the canvas into the sail track and secure the stability straps around the hinge of the lid. The twist-lock mechanism makes setting up the support poles effortless! Just grab your poles, align them with your awning, and lock them securely into place before securing with ropes and pegs. When you’re ready to head off on your next adventure, simply remove the poles, pegs and ropes. Remove the stability straps and canvas, fold your canvas away into the handy carry bag and secure the poles back into the carriage.

Do you have accessories available to purchase with the awning?

Yes, we currently have side walls in either Canvas or Flyscreen for more protection from the weather and insects. We also offer the No Wukka Tent which is designed to integrate seamlessly with the No Wukka Shade awning for all your travel needs.

What vehicles does the No Wukka awning fit?

No Wukka tents and truck tailgate awnings are designed specifically for most American Ute/Pick up models including Ford F-Truck range, Chevy Silverado range, Dodge RAM range (excluding vehicles with RAMBox), Toyota Tundra. Please check dimensions before ordering. Additional/alternative screws/bolts may need to be purchased for installation, depending on the type of hard lid.

Do No Wukka awnings require any modifications to the vehicle?

No, the No Wukka awning has been designed to ensure the exterior aesthetics of your vehicle remain unchanged. Simply secure the aluminium carriage to the underside of your hard lid - no roof racks required. All poles are conveniently secured within the carriage itself, saving space in the tub. All accessories for the awning are included and come in a handy carry bag for transport. Our awning is designed to be easily secured in the back of your vehicle, taking up minimum room and allowing ample space for all your camping equipment and needs.

Are the awning walls interchangeable?

Yes, the walls designed to fit the No Wukka Shade awning are all made to the same specifications, which means you can attach the side anywhere and move it depending on where you need the protection. So as the sun moves, so can your wall!

Are the walls easily attached?

Yes, the walls are simply secured to the awning with a Velcro attachment system and have industrial zips for wall to wall connection.

Are the walls made from the same quality canvas as the No Wukka shades awning and tent?

Yes, we only use the highest quality Australian made canvas and flyscreen material on our products. Our mesh walls are made from Hiraoka SuperScreen 239, a high strength PVC coated polyester mesh that has excellent dimensional stability and very high UV resistance. Our walls are an ideal accessory for outdoor adventures when weather, mosquitos, flies, or midges disturb your outdoor fun.

Can I secure the awning walls to the ground?

Yes, the walls have quality stainless steel rings at the bottom for securing with pegs if needed.
